As all rooms and open areas of the hotel are subject to a statutory non-smoking rule, we offer our guests two smokers’ lounges, one of which has an open fire. The unique style of the rooms is complemented by their artwork, including a painting by Gerhart Leixl, an installation by Barbara Bernsteiner, as well as drawings by Japanese artist Ken Kagami. Contemporary art and today’s smoking culture in symbiosis.
Excerpt of the Austrian non-smoker protection law:
A hotel is considered to be a public place under Austrian law. Consequently, the non-smoker protection law applies not only to the reception and entrance hall, but also to the hotel bedrooms, hallways, lounges etc. According to this law smoking may only be permitted in designated smoking areas, but none of the hotel bedrooms may be offered as smoking rooms.
